Who we are

As a result of the union of five professionals with extensive experience and high market recognition, Amorim Trindade e Paz Lawyers (“ATP”) stands out for offering legal solutions in harmony with the strategic objectives of its clients.

The law firm’s partners have been part of prominent law offices in the national scene and their teams has been dealing with complex and strategic cases involving either corporate, civil, labor, administrative and sports law. Carlos Vinícius Duarte

Amorim

Graduated in Law from Centro Universitário de Patos de Minas – UNIPAM, with post-graduation latu senso – “Update in Law” – Faculty of Law Professor Damásio de Jesus – São Paulo – 2005, Postgraduate in Material and Procedural Labor Law – Coordination – Minister Maurício Godinho Delgado – IESB – 2008.

He was a member of the Labor Law Commission of the Bar Association, Section of Federal District (OAB/DF) and was Director of the Labor Lawyers Association of the Federal District – AAT / DF – biennial 2013/2014.

He works in the advisory and contentious areas of Labor Law, with ten years of legal work in the Labor Court, especially in the Superior Labor Court.

Fabrício

Trindade

Graduated in Law from Centro Universitário do Distrito Federal (UDF), in 2001, with post-graduation latu senso in Civil Procedural Law by ICAT-UDF – 2005, Postgraduate in Material and Procedural Labor Law – Coordination – Minister Maurício Godinho Delgado – IESB – 2008.

Graduated in Business Administration from the University of Brasília (UnB) in 2002.

At the Bar Association, Section of Federal District (OAB/DF) he was a Member of the Prerogatives Commission (2009-2012) and Professor of the Training and Improvement Course for Operators of Sports Law at the Superior School of Law (ESA/DF) in 2011. He was Vice-President and Secretary General of the Sports Law Commission of OAB-DF (2010/2012), and currently he is Vice President of said Commission.

He has been playing as a Prosecutor to the Sports Court of the Brazilian Football Federation since 2010. He was Auditor of the Full Court of the TJD of the Brasiliense Football Federation from 2013 until 08/2015.

He was also a volunteer teacher at the Law Department of the University of Brasília (Discipline: Social Legislation).

He is the author of the book: “A evolução do futebol e das normas que o regulamentam: aspectos trabalhistas-desportivos” (“The evolution of football and the norms that regulate it: labor-sport aspects”) and several articles in specialized magazines.

He lectured in several cities in Brazil and abroad.

In 2013 he was awarded the Order of Merit of Don Bosco of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region, in the Degree Commander.

In 2014 he taught the Sports Law course, in the program “Saber Direito”, channel “TV JUSTIÇA”.

He is active in the advisory and contentious areas of Labor Law and Sports Law, having been a lawyer at the Labor Court, especially at the Superior Labor Court, since 2002.

José Henrique Nunes

Paz

Graduated in Law from Centro Universitário de Brasília – UniCEUB, with qualification in Civil and Commercial Law. Master of Laws (LL.M.) by the Center for Energy, Oil and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, UK (Rio Tinto/Chevening Scholar). Registered in the Federal District Section of the Brazilian Bar Association.

He works in the areas of commercial law, civil and administrative litigation, as well as regulatory matters related to mining, advising clients in relation to incorporation of companies, acquisition and sale of companies and their assets, legal due diligence of companies and mineral assets, Contracts for mineral research, development and operation of projects, acquisition, assignment and transfer of mining rights.

His professional experience includes working in the corporate and litigation areas of renowned law firms, and also as an internal lawyer in foreign companies operating in Brazil.

Marcelo

Kanitz

Graduated in Law from the Centro Universitário de Brasília – UniCeub in 1997, with specialization in Labor Law. Post-Graduation in Material and Procedural Labor Law – UniCeub in 2004.

At the OAB / DF he was a member of the Labor Law Commission, occupying the position of Deputy Secretary General (2013/2015). He is currently a member of the OAB / DF Labor Law Commission (2016).

He was a guest lecturer in the discipline Procedural Labor Law at the UNICEUB Graduate School.

He is a legal advisor to the National Federation of Ports (FENOP), having participated as a speaker at the VI CONOGMO and III National Meeting of Port Operators.

He works in the advisory and contentious areas of labor law, with more than fifteen years of labor law, especially in the Superior Labor Court.

He actively participates in the main legal discussions related to port follow-up, always in defense of the Port Operators’ Trade Unions, Port Operators and the National Federation of Port Operators.

Karla Vanessa

Araújo

Graduated in Law from the Centro Universitário de Brasília – UniCEUB. Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Maastricht, Netherlands, in European and Comparative Law (Magister Iuris Communis) in 2002. She completed his professional secondment at Gomez-Acebo & Pombo office in Brussels, Belgium, in 2003. She also holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Brasília (UnB).

He has several years of experience in prominent offices in the national scene, serving national and foreign companies from different sectors of the economy, working mainly in judicial and administrative processes, in complex contentious issues. In particular, she has solid experience in handling strategic cases in the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

Her professional experience includes dealing with different kinds cases in either State and Federal Courts and also before Regulatory Agencies, especially the National Sanitary Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), in addition to public tenders.
